Senator Richard Shelby to Visit Wiregrass for Ala. Jobs and Industry Tour

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Friday, January 24, 2014, at 10a.m, U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) will visit Pike County to meet with employees at Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. in Troy. The visit marks the 27th stop in Shelby’s statewide jobs and industry tour, during which he will visit a business in each of Alabama’s 67 counties. Shelby issued the following statement on the visit:
“Job creation must be our top priority as a nation, and it will be the focus of my statewide travel. It is critical that I hear firsthand from job creators and workers how federal policies are affecting economic growth, and what we can do to create more jobs in Alabama. These conversations with my constituents have always played a critical role in informing how I vote on issues before the Senate, and I look forward to traveling the state again this year.”
Sen. Shelby will be available to the media at the conclusion of the visit, at approximately 10:55 a.m.
