Rep. Charles Boustany seeks info about IRS practices
U.S. Rep. Charles Boustany told the nation’s top tax official Wednesday to turn over information crucial to a probe into how the Internal Revenue Service treated conservative groups seeking tax exemption.
“The ongoing investigation has hit a roadblock,” Boustany, the Republican who represents Louisiana’s 3rd Congressional District, told IRS Commissioner John Koskinen. “It’s in your interest to clear this deck. … We want to get this cleared out so you can move forward.”
