Cresent Hardy launches congressional bid
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada Assemblyman Cresent Hardy is launching his bid for Congress and hopes to unseat incumbent Democratic Rep. Steven Horsford in November.
The conservative Republican on Tuesday highlighted his Nevada roots and says he’s the best person to represent the sprawling 4th Congressional District that spans nearly half the state. The district stretches from North Las Vegas and encompasses all or parts of six other counties.
Hardy spent decades in the construction industry. He lives in Mesquite and was elected to the Nevada Assembly in 2010.
