Tom Reed Calls on Students to Participate in New STEM Competition
WASHINGTON – The effort to promote science, technology, engineering and math – also known as STEM – in the classroom is getting a boost from Washington.
On Tuesday, Congressman Tom Reed announced the first annual Congressional STEM Academic Competition – open to all high school students in New York’s 23rd district.
The new “House STEM App Challenge” encourages students to apply their creativity and innovation in STEM fields by creating their very own software application, or “app,” and presenting their design to experts in STEM fields.
