U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-AL, visited Birmingham’s Innovation Depot on Friday.
Innovation Depot is a small business incubator that works in close partnership with the University of Alabama at Birmingham to help relatively new technology companies grow. Today, the incubator hosts 96 companies with more than 500 combined employees, prompting Sessions to call it “the best [incubator] in the country.”
“What you’re seeing is creative ways to do things better,” Sessions said, representing gains in innovation and productivity that will eventually lead to more jobs and higher wages across Alabama.
