Rep. Fincher Seeking Valentines for Heroes

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Stephen Fincher (representative for Tennessee’s 8th Congressional District, which includes the 38002 zip code) recently announced he is kicking off his “Operation Valentines” program. From now until February 10, the Congressman’s district offices will collect valentines for distribution throughout West Tennessee for veterans and those currently serving in the military.

“Every February, across the country, friends and loved ones swap cards and candy for Valentine’s Day to show they care,” said Congressman Fincher. “This year, I wanted to start a Valentine’s tradition of my own, to show West Tennessee’s heroes how much we care for them. That’s why I’m kicking off ‘Operation Valentines’ to get valentines into the hands of West Tennessee’s many soldiers, past and present, to show gratitude and support for all that they have done, and continue to do for our country.”

Fincher continued, “I encourage classrooms, church groups, families and individuals to join me in helping brighten the day of America’s heroes.”
