Nebraska Senator Mike Johanns talks about the budget
WASHINGTON, D.C. (KTIV) — As lawmakers get closer to approving a final budget for the fiscal year, Nebraska Senator Mike Johanns weighed in on the 1.1-trillion dollar budget.
“My concern is that we’ve gone back to increasing spending with this bill, and there’s no doubt about it, it does increase spending,” Senator Johanns said.
Senator Johanns said he’s not opposed to ending the sequester cuts, but he wants to pursue spending reductions in other areas including entitlements and fraud.
