Griffith announces House app contest
Congressman Morgan Griffith, R-VA, has invited students eligible to attend high schools in the Ninth District of Virginia to participate in the Congressional Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Academic Competition, also known as the House App Contest.
The new House App Contest, established last year by members of the U.S. House of Representatives, is a nationwide event that allows high school students from across the country to compete by creating and exhibiting a software application (or “app”) for mobile, tablet or computer devices on a platform of their choice.
Congressman Griffith issued the following statement on the House App Contest:
“We have remarkably talented and hardworking students throughout the Ninth District of Virginia. I invite all eligible high school students to participate in the new House App Contest, a great opportunity for students interested in exploring or showcasing their STEM skills. I look forward to seeing the innovative apps that will be submitted by Ninth District students.”
