BSA's Distinguished Eagle Scout Award, "The Top Cowboy of Texas" award Rick Perry has written two books: On My Honor: Why the American Values of the Boy Scouts are Worth Fighting For was published in February 2008.[135] In his book, Perry celebrates the positive impact of the organization on the youth of America and criticizes the ACLU for its legal actions against the Boy Scouts of America.[136] His second book, Fed Up! Our Fight to Save America from Washington, was published in November 2010.[137] Perry's second book discusses his support for limited central government. Perry has also written a lecture about the role of the federal government and the military in disaster management titled Federalizing Disaster Response
