Gov. Perry Celebrates Grand Opening of Emerson Innovation Center
Gov. Rick Perry today spoke at the grand opening of the Emerson Innovation Center, a three-building campus that’s home to advanced engineering, technology and manufacturing operations.
“Today, Emerson officially opens another chapter in its growing story as a technological leader, working with other employers throughout the state and around the world to improve entire industries,” Gov. Perry said. “The growth and success of companies like Emerson bolster Texas’ reputation as a state where people can dream big, and make those big dreams happen. That’s because in Texas we believe employers of all sizes need the freedom to make the most of the opportunities before them.”
Companies like Emerson looking to expand or relocate their operations continue to look to Texas for low taxes, a predictable regulatory climate and a skilled workforce, ready to fill any need employers may have. Emerson recently moved its Process Systems and Solutions global headquarters to Round Rock, bringing its total in the Central Texas area to 750 employees.
