Gov. Corbett Gives Conference On Snow Removal Status.

HARRISBURG, Pa. – Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett gave a press conference at 11 a.m. to update everyone on the status of the snow removal.
Corbett thanked all crews for their hard work and all residents for following instructions and staying off the roads in these treacherous conditions.
Nearly 2,000 PennDOT and turnpike crews are actively plowing the Pennsylvania roads, and there are 783 members of the National Guard available to support operations, says Corbett. The Guard has deployed liaison officers to all the affected counties and also has four-wheel-drive ambulances on standby in case of need. Because of the rate of snow fall, it is a bit of a challenge for crews, but everyone is working hard.
