Gov. Chris Christie is under federal investigation after it emerged that his staff closed lanes on the George Washington Bridge to after the mayor of Fort Lee, N.J., failed to endorse him.
Typically combative New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie kept his mouth shut Thursday after the growing Bridgegate scandal mushroomed into a federal probe.
The U.S. attorney in Newark served subpoenas on Christie’s reelection campaign and the state GOP committee as the investigation of the George Washington Bridge lane closings widened.
