David Valadao announces support for House Immigration Reform Bill
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Congressman David Valadao (CA-21) has announced his support for House immigration reform legislation.
Valadao issued a statement in support of H.R. 15, the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act Wednesday on his website.
The bill, introduced by Congressman Joe Garcia (D-FL), is similar to the Senate immigration bill which was passed last June and contains a path to citizenship for immigrants who are in the country illegally.
In his statement, Valadao wrote: “I have been working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to find common ground on the issue of immigration reform. Recently, I have focused my efforts on joining with likeminded Republicans in organizing and demonstrating to Republican Leadership broad support within the Party to address immigration reform in the House by the end of the year.”
