I appreciate the Montgomery Advertiser’sattention to a recently revealed plan for federal inspectors to target the Southern automotive industry, including auto supplier plants in Alabama. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has sweeping authority to inspect and fine private businesses, and its practices warrant scrutiny.
